ArticleV.org is planning a feature documentary which brings together 100 college students from around the country in order to carry out the convention clause of Article V of the Constitution.

Over the past fifty years there have been discussions about a “constitutional convention.” Editorials of The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and other newspapers have deemed it a huge monstrosity, a profound danger because America has never held a convention of state delegates, and no one knows what exactly would come of it.

By documenting a mock-convention of student delegates from colleges around the country, we can show what happens. We can show that discussing ideas for change and ratifying an amendment to the U.S. Constitution are two entirely different things.

Ideally, we would assemble the 100 students in Washington D.C., tape introductions, tape them carrying out the clause/building consensus, tape them hammering out amendment proposals, and maybe conclude with delegates beneath fireworks. We think such a documentary will be significant, and we will then enter it into national/international film festivals, where the idea has the best chance of breaching into the mainstream.

To fund this project our goal is to raise $150,000. Please consider pledging a donation to help popularize the convention clause of Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
